Hey, Mrs. B!

This might sound weird but I'm sorta defending Christianity on youtube. Let me give you the whole story. I like Monty Python's song, Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life. It's really cute. Anyway, the movie that the song comes out in pokes fun at Christianity (and apparently when it was released in the 80's Warner Brothers was sued). Well, I mentioned how I was offended at the way it made fun of Christianity (I've only seen the trailer but that was enough to make me mad). So people started replying to my comment and I started commenting back. Wow, I never thought our Starting Points class would come in so handy! I actually feel like I know what I believe and why :D But I'm not so confident, I admit, I'm a little nervous. This is my first 'argument' about Christianity. Of course I practiced with Chip and you but this is real life! I'm excited , but at the same time I'm very nervous. And the reason I'm excited is not simply that I can answer the questions people throw at me, but that I'm starting to read the Bible and understand! I had a feeling that several days ago that I wouldn't be able to do this on my own, so I opened my Bible to the book of Acts and wow! The situation was with the followers preaching! Lol, I have to admit, I was as brave as Paul. So please pray for me and any advice you might have sure could help :D

 Sounds like you are really putting your education to work! I'm very proud of you. Without knowing any specifics of your arguing, I can't offer any advice. I'm praying for you to be able to stand firm, persevere in your witnessing, and to 'give a reason for the hope that is within you'.

Thank you. Man, it seems like if you mention any sort of religion (even though Christianity ISNT one) people get all fired up and bad. I'm about to post a really big comment. I figured since this has caught the eye of many people, why not give out a huge comment on what Christianity is? I feel like it's a work out in a way. Wow. I never thought the first time I'd have a debate would be in youtube through comments! I always thought it would be with a friend or stranger. But I have a strong feeling later in life I will :P Lol, I of course understand. It's sorta messy with people throwing out different questions: Is there any prove that Jesus was real? Stuff about different saviors and how the Bible was a made up book.

Like I said in my other email, I've been reading through Acts and feel like I can relate to the followers. You know how last week we talked about how God puts stuff in our lives to make us stronger? I feel like that's what He's doing to me! But this time is different than other times, I'm letting Him. A new step toward becoming the person He wanted me to be. I understand what's going on! Totally awesome!
